SMD Laser give you a large inventory of printer parts, new or refurbish for laser printers (monochrome, colour), dot matrix, inkjet and plotters. If you need some parts or options for your printer just remember that SMD as one of the largest inventory in Canada.

Contrary to our competitors, at SMD we rebuilt all the fusers like a brand new. We rebuilt them with OEM parts and/or clean the parts in a ultra-sonic solution that make a faultless job.

In the following, you will find all the information about our policy that SMD intend to pursue in the future.

ORDERS

Ordering at SMD LASER is very simple. You could use our toll free line 1-888-763-8888 or our local phone number 514-521-6238, go to our web site www.smdlaser.com or fax us your order at 514-521-2579 (2% your order by fax or web site) with your client number and if necessary your purchase number.

  • SMD will make every effort to ensure that all parts orders are shipped for next business day delivery for in-stock items.

PAYMENT TERMS

  • For C.O.D. orders, you have to pay by credit card VISA or MASTERCARD.

  • To open a account, you have to submit a credit application and a authorization to verify your references. SMD terms are Net 30 days. All orders paid by terms as to be done with a purchase order.

  • A 10.00$ fee will be charge to your account for none sufficient fund checks (NSF) and for the subsequent orders they will be payable by cash or certified check.

PRICE AND CONDITIONS

  • Price are subject to change without any notice. Your salesman will confirm price with you when you order.

  • For any order with a large volume, a additional rebate will be applied.

  • A 50.00$ minimum is required per order or there will be a 10.00$ charge will be added for handling to your invoice.

  • If you have your fuser unit at the counter or you ship it in advance, you will have a 10% rebate on your order.

PARTS RETURNS (RMA)

a) Unopened and unused parts

Unopened and unused parts may be returned if there was an error in quantity shipped or if the wrong part was shipped by SMD. To return a part, a return merchandise authorization (RMA), the letter “R” always precede the number, must be issued from SMD. Start by calling the following numbers, 514-521-6238 or 1-888-763-8888 and ask to call to one of our salesman or visit our web site. Parts returned for stock balancing are subject to a charge of 20% on the part value up to $50.00 restocking fee per part wrongly ordered by the customer.

Your RMA number must be clearly labelled on the outside of the box in which the parts are being returned. The part must be shipped to SMD at your own expense.

b) Opened and unused parts

If the package has been opened but the part has not been used, it may be returned to SMD by following the same procedure as above. Obtain a RMA number, the letter “R” always precede the number, stating the conditions for the return.

Your RMA number must be clearly labelled on the outside of the box in which the parts are being returned.

c) Defective parts

If the part you received was defective, SMD will issue a RMA number as above. Upon receipt and testing of the part, a credit will be applied to your account or credit card, whichever applies.

d) Exchange parts

Parts sold with exchange are shipped with a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), the letter “B” always precede the number. When you receive the part, you have ten (10) business days to ship back the defective core(s). If the core(s) are not shipped back in the required time, you will be charge $100.00 per missing core(s). Please call our office to advise the salesman if you can’t ship in the required time.

e) Warranty specification

The parts are guaranteed for 90 days. If your part is defective in those 90 days we will ship you a part for replacement. Every part rebuilt are serialized for a better quality control. If the serial number is removed or cut the warranty will not be applied.

Please have your serial number and reason of the return to have a RMA number when you call. Please put your RMA number on the box when you ship it to SMD.

If your defective part is out of warranty by a couple of days, we would like you to ship or bring the part so we could inspect it. After inspection our department of quality control will or will not approve a free reparation on your defective part

f) Damage and complaint

Every shipment are carefully wrap in bubble. For box damage during the transport, please call with the customer service of the courier. If you suspect that the shipment in the box is broken or damage, DO NOT open the box until you have call the customer service of the courier. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for the damage cause by the courier, but it will be a pleasure to help you resolve your problem as fast as we can.
